Running Reflective Vests

If you run outdoors, especially in dim lighting or at night, reflective gear is an important part of your dress code. Running reflective vests are a great thing to get into the habit of wearing, and one of your best running accessories to acquire. You should be as highly visible as you can be, and while there are small reflective strips you can attach to clothing, a full reflective running vest helps you be seen much easier. Here are a few of the top selling running reflective vests out there. If you see an item of interest, simply click on the picture or link for full details and pricing information. Womens Running Shorts

I like both womens running shorts and running skirts. It depends on the type of run I’m doing. If I’m doing a short training run, then running shorts work great for me. I wear running skirts for my long runs…everybody is different in what they love to wear. I have friends who like baggy womens running shorts and others who prefer compression shorts. I have friends who will only wear skirts, and others who can’t stand skirts. For those women who are looking for different styles of running shorts, here are a few to get you started. Mens Running Shorts

Looking for mens running shorts? Whether you like them short or long, baggy or tighter – once you find that fit that works for you, it’s great. It’s hard to explain to someone who doesn’t run how it feels absolutely different to run in different types of shorts or shirts if they aren’t the fit you prefer. Don’t even get started talking to them about all the differences in shoes (pronation, supination, support, neutral, etc…)…just know what you like, and you’re on your way. Here are some mens running shorts in different styles:

Hydration Packs

Hydration packs are a great way to take your fluids with you on a long run. While I also have a waist pack, it’s my Camelbak hydration pack that I absolutely love. In fact, I strapped that bad boy on while doing a half marathon and didn’t have to rely on the race’s fluids at all. They come in varying sizes and some offer extra pockets. Some people prefer a smaller pack, while others are going longer distances and want something larger. I love that the Camelbak hydration packs don’t shift. My waist pack bounces at times, while my hydration pack I barely notice it there, and there’s no bounce. I use a 70 ounce variety (Rogue style I think) and while I was hesitant to try it at first, I’m thrilled I did. I can’t rave about these enough. I love mine! *All links lead to Amazon, a trusted online retailer – so you can shop with confidence.

Garmin GPS Watch

Looking for a Garmin GPS Watch? There are different models you’ll want to check out based on your needs. Garmins come highly recommended by runners and I myself use a Garmin as well. Some Garmins have slight variations, while other models of the Garmin have big significant changes, such as accessories like working with a heart monitor strap or a foot pod. Be sure to check out all of the different Garmin GPS watch options before settling on one that works best for you. I use a 305 model, the one shown first here (and at the top of the page).

Running Watches

When it comes to running watches, there are different styles and brands and things runners want their watches to do. Whether you’re looking for a Garmin GPS watch, or something just to keep your pace and mileage, or even if you’re looking for a heart montior watch, the best advice I could give you is to find running watches that do everything you want in one unit. The Garmin GPS watch is a favorite among runners – while many people rely on the Timex Ironman or a Polar. Here are a few different styles of running watches that can offer you that extra data you’ve been wanting on your runs.

You can find a full section for a closer look at a Garmin GPS Watch here, and there are a couple shown below:

Running Waist Packs

There are two different types of running waist packs. There are packs that hold hydration in the form of water bottles – or packs that are a pocket to hold things like keys, cell phone or things like your gels or fuel for longer runs. If you’re looking for running waist packs, you’ll find both types here – with and without water bottles. Larger hydration packs such as backpack style hydration options can be found under “Running Hydration Packs” on the sidebar.

I personally have a Camelbak, a waist pack with water bottles (Nathan – 2 bottle), and one without bottles (Spi Belt) on it. It really depends on the type of run I’ll be doing – so I like to have options for short runs, longer runs and a spare pocket. Here are some options you may want to check out…all links lead to Amazon, a trusted online retailer – so you can shop with confidence.
